Meet Charlotte
My Journey to Music
I began my journey as a harpist at just 6 years old! I have fallen more in love with performing as my musical career has progressed. Originally based in Hampshire, I am now studying for a degree in music at Royal Holloway University of London and I am loving the opportunities it's giving me to showcase my hard work on the harp.
My Musical Style
I am passionate about classical music but also
pop ballads and jazz on the harp- I love playing music people will recognise and enjoy!
I am lucky enough to be the proud owner of both a concert size Salvi pedal harp and a small Dusty Strings lever harp.
My Performances
Based in Hampshire and in London, I have performed at various events and venues; including fetes, weddings and concerts. I particularly enjoy providing background ambience for functions. As well as this, working in hospitals to provide music therapy has become a particularly rewarding playing opportunity for me.
Teaching
In 2024 I was lucky enough to be appointed the Musician in Residence at Gordonstoun School. Here I teach Music theory, GCSE and A level Music students, as well as harp students both in ensemble and one to one. My role at Gordonstoun has given me a new insight into the possibilities of music. Sharing my passion with others has been a hugely enjoyable experience.
